Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

This policy explains what SlayOn collects when you use our app and website, why, and the choices you have. It applies to customers booking through SlayOn; salon partners have their own agreement.

1What we collect

  • Your name and mobile number, which you need to sign in.
  • Your email address and profile photo, if you add them.
  • Your location, only while you look for salons near you, and only with your permission.
  • Your bookings: salon, services, stylist, date and time, bills and receipts, and any reviews you write.
  • Payment details: we keep the payment reference and status. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partner, and we never see or store them.
  • Device information (model, app version, crash reports) so we can fix problems.

We collect only what we need to run the service.

2How we use it

  • To show salons and services near you, and to take and manage your bookings.
  • To send booking updates, bills and reminders.
  • To process payments and keep your receipts.
  • To send offers, only if you turn those notifications on.
  • To answer you when you contact us, and to keep the service safe and working.

3Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data.

  • The salon you book: your name, mobile number and booking details, so it can serve you.
  • Our payment partner: what it needs to complete a payment or refund.
  • Service providers that run the app for us (such as cloud hosting and notifications), under contract.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

4How long we keep it

We keep your account while you use it. If you delete your account we delete your profile and booking history, except records the law requires us to keep, such as tax invoices, which we keep only for as long as required.

5Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or update it
  • ask us to delete it, or delete your account
  • withdraw consent, for example by turning off notifications or location
  • name someone to exercise these rights for you

Write to privacy@getslayon.com. We reply within 30 days.

6Children

SlayOn is for people aged 18 and over. Someone under 18 may only use it with a parent or guardian.

7Security

Your data is stored with Google Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest, and only people who need it to run the service can see it.
