Terms of Service

Last updated 5 October 2026

The short version

  • SlayOn connects you with salons. The salon provides and is responsible for your service.
  • A booking is a request until the salon accepts it.
  • The ₹50 booking fee is taken off bills of ₹500 or more, and returned to your wallet in the cases set out in section 5.
  • Cancel before the salon accepts and the fee comes back. After that, or if you don't turn up, it doesn't.
  • Reviews must be honest and about a visit you made.

A summary for convenience. The full terms below are what apply.

1About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name, e.g. XYZ Technologies Private Limited] ("SlayOn", "we", "us"), [Registered office address], Hyderabad, Telangana, India. They apply whenever you use the SlayOn app to find salons, book appointments, pay or leave reviews.

By creating an account or making a booking you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

You must be 18 or older to use SlayOn. Someone under 18 may only use it with a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for them.

2What SlayOn does

SlayOn is a marketplace. We list independent salons, show their services, prices and free times, take bookings and payments on their behalf, and keep your receipts.

The salon, not SlayOn, provides the service. The salon is responsible for the quality and safety of the service, its staff, its premises, and the prices and offers it lists. Each salon's name and address are shown on its page and on your receipt.

We check salons when they join, but we don't supervise each service. If something goes wrong, tell us (section 16) and we will help you resolve it with the salon.

3Your account

  • Give your real name and a mobile number you use. We sign you in with a one-time code sent to that number.
  • Keep your phone and codes to yourself. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
  • One person, one account. Don't create accounts for other people or to get offers more than once.
  • You can ask us to close your account at any time (see Privacy and section 13).

4Bookings

  • A booking is a request until the salon accepts it. When it does, you are notified and the booking shows a makeover code to show at the counter.
  • Times are the salon's planned start times. Please arrive a few minutes early. If you are late, the salon may shorten your service, move it, or treat it as a no-show.
  • "Any available stylist" lets the salon choose who serves you, and may mean different stylists for different services.
  • The salon may decline or cancel a booking, for example if a stylist falls ill. We notify you and return the booking fee as set out in section 5.
  • The salon may add or change services at your request during the visit. The final bill reflects what you actually received.

5Booking fee, cancellations and no-shows

When you book, you pay a booking fee of ₹50 in the app to hold your time.

  • Bill of ₹500 or more: the fee is deducted from your bill and shown on your receipt.
  • Bill under ₹500: the fee is returned to your SlayOn wallet after the visit.
  • You cancel before the salon accepts: the fee is returned to your wallet.
  • The salon declines or cancels: the fee is returned to your wallet.
  • You cancel after the salon accepts: the fee is not returned.
  • You don't turn up (no-show): the fee is not returned.
  • Rescheduling is free and possible until the salon accepts. After that, contact the salon, or cancel and book again.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

6Prices and payments

  • Prices are set by each salon and include or exclude GST as the salon shows. The price at booking is a guide; your bill is for the services you actually received.
  • You can pay your bill in the app or at the salon. In-app payments are processed by our payment partner; we never see or store your full card or UPI details.
  • The in-app payment link for a bill works for 5 minutes after the salon sends it. If it expires, the salon can send it again.
  • If a payment fails or is stuck, don't pay again. The app checks the payment status by itself. Money debited for a payment that didn't complete is returned to your original payment method by the payment partner.
  • A duplicate or wrong charge will be refunded to the original payment method once confirmed. Refund times depend on your bank.

7SlayOn wallet

  • Your wallet holds booking fees returned to you and any credits we give you. It shows every credit and the reason for it.
  • Wallet credit can only be used in the app. It isn't cash, can't be withdrawn or transferred, and earns no interest.
  • We may reverse credit that was given in error or obtained by misuse.

8Offers and discounts

Offers are run by salons or by SlayOn, and each comes with its own conditions, shown with the offer. An offer may end early or be limited per customer. Offers can't be exchanged for cash, and we may cancel an offer used against its conditions.

9Your health and safety at the salon

  • Tell the salon before your service about any allergy, skin or scalp sensitivity, pregnancy, or medical condition that could matter, and ask for a patch test for colour, chemical or skin treatments.
  • Follow the salon's aftercare advice.
  • The salon is responsible for performing the service with reasonable care and skill. Raise any problem with the salon first, and with us if it isn't resolved.

10Reviews and ratings

  • You can review a salon after a completed, paid visit. Reviews must be honest, about your own visit, and free of abuse, personal details or advertising.
  • Salons may not pay for, pressure or write reviews. We may remove reviews that break these rules, but we never remove a review just because it is negative.
  • By posting a review you let SlayOn show it in the app and on our website, with your first name.

11Using the app fairly

You agree not to:

  • make bookings you don't intend to keep, or book to block a salon's times;
  • abuse, threaten or harass salon staff or other users;
  • misuse offers, referral credits or refunds;
  • copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app or its data;
  • use the app for anything unlawful.

12Our content

The app, its design, the SlayOn name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Salon names, photos and menus belong to the salons. You may use the app for your own personal bookings only.

13Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example repeated no-shows, fraud or abuse of staff. We will tell you why, unless the law stops us. You may close your account at any time from Customer Care. Fees and refunds already due are settled as these terms describe.

14Our responsibility to you

We take reasonable care to keep the app working and your information accurate, but the app may sometimes be unavailable or show out-of-date details.

As a marketplace, we are not responsible for the service the salon provides. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any booking is limited to the amount you paid through SlayOn for that booking.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

15Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with (including the salon you book) and how to have it corrected or deleted. It is part of these terms.

16Questions, complaints and the Grievance Officer

For help with a booking or payment, use Customer Care in the app or write to support@getslayon.com.

If you're not satisfied with our response, contact our Grievance Officer:

17Changes and governing law

We may update these terms when the app or the law changes. We'll show the new date at the top and tell you in the app before important changes take effect. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.
